Cliffs of Moher in Liscannor – Ireland

The Cliffs of Moher in Liscannor constitute some of the most impressive rock formations in Ireland. Its varied wildlife and panoramic views have turned it into a popular tourist destination.
The cliffs are at Liscannor parish at the Burren area’s close to Doolin. This is at County Claire. If you are at Lisdoonvarna, just follow L54 and the directions to Doolin. If you’re coming from Ennis, head to N67 to Lisdoonvarna. After 5 km, turn left and follow the signs until you get to Doolin. The cliffs are at R478 going from Liscannor to Doolin. You will see a car park there.

The cliffs are 120 m (400 ft) over the Atlantic Ocean. From the site, you’ll be able to see the Connemara hills and Galway Bay’s Aran Islands.
In the center of the cliffs is O’Brien’s Tower. Constructed by Sir Cornellius O’Brien in 1835, it was used by tourists then as an observation point. Visitors to the cliff still use it today. From the tower, the Twelve Bens at Connemara can be seen. The Maum Turk Mountains and the LoopHead are also visible.
