Davao City - Philippines
Davao City is home to over a million people. Daytime population (which includes transients) is estimated to reach almost 2 million since it is the center of trade, commerce, and services in Southern Philippines. Its population growth rate is 2.83% while density is at 469 persons per square kilometer. Urban density however is higher at 2,262 people per square kilometer.

On the slopes of Mount Apo was discovered the waling- waling, an orchid of exceptional attributes- with full, velvet petals tinged in royal colors of purple, red and yellow. The waling- waling (Vanda sanderiana) has since been successfully transplanted from its natural environment and cultivated in many of Davao’s flower farms. The Philippine Eagle (pithecophaga jefferyi) is considered one of the largest eagles in the world. This majestic bird of prey has been saved from extinction and now a national symbol is sheltered at the Philippine Eagle Nature Center in Malagos.
The Philippine Eagle Nature Center is a sanctuary for this endangered species. The center is primarily a breeding facility for the eagles but it is also a temporary habitat of different animals endemic in the region. Many species of indigenous flora, including the waling waling orchid, flourish in the park’s flawless natural beauty and rugged environment. The Philippine Eagle Research and Nature Center in the Malagos rainforest in Calinan, 45 minutes away from downtown Davao.
Crocodile encounters Davao Crocodile park is home to the largest crocodile in the country aptly named Pangil (“jaw”) . Aside from 19- foot reptile, other mindorensis and porosos crocodile species, wild cats, pythons, turtles, lizards, monkeys, and varieties of exotic birds and butterflies can also be found inside the mini – zoo.

Olango Island - Philippines
Olango Island is approximately located five kilometers east of Mactan Island in Cebu. It lies between the Bohol Strait to the south and the Camotes Sea to the north. To the east is the Olango Channel while to the west is the Hilutungan Channel. The island has seven barangays, one of which is Sta. Rosa (erroneously used to refer to the whole of Olango Island), where the island’s wharf and parish church is located. Manila Ocean Park - Philippines
Manila Ocean Park considers the first state-of-the-art Oceanarium which is located behind the Quirino Grandstand Luneta, Manila, Philippines. Its main attraction is a 25-meter long, 220 degree curved acrylic walkway tunnel. Aside from the Oceanarium itself, the marine park has also boutique mall, restaurant row, and function facilities. It is owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of China Oceanis Group Ltd (COG); a company that specializes in the investment, building, and operation of public aquarium/oceanarium attractions. The Oceanarium journey is divided into six sections and each section will carry a Filipino name: “Agos”; “Bahura”; “Buhay na Karagatan”; “Pating”; “Ang Kailaliman”; and “Laot”. It replicates the water flow from a fresh water source that eventually leads to the open ocean, creating a model of interconnectedness between land and sea. It then takes one through the different depths of the sea showcasing each area’s beautiful and natural inhabitants.
Manila Ocean Park president Lim Chee Yong proudly said that the marine park would be among the most advanced ocean parks in Asia.

Pagsanjan Falls - Philippines
The falls have grown into one of the famous tourist attractions in the Philippines. Pagsanjan falls is situated three miles outside of the town of Pagsanjan somewhere in the rugged highlands of Cavinti about 100 km SE of Manila located in the Laguna province near the town of Santa Cruz. Its site is a national territory under the supervision of the Parks and Wildlife Office of the Bureau of Forestry Development. The only passable route to it is the Bumbungan River of Pagsanjan. Before reaching Pagsanjan Falls, tourists or visitors have to ride these boats (bangka), manned by skilled Pagsanjeño boatmen (bankeros). Two young men are hired with the canoe which usually carries two passengers.
